Belsize Park: 15-year-old cyclist killed in collision with motorbike in north London


 15-year-old cyclist has been killed in a collision with a motorcyclist on a north London road The boy was cycling on Malden Road in Belsize Park when the crash took place at around 2.40pm Saturday.
 The London Ambulance Service was called out but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have been informed and a post-mortem will take place in due course to determine the course of his death.
The motorcyclist,  who stopped at the scene,  was not injured in the crash.  There have not been any arrests yet.

 A Met police spokesman said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision,  or the events leading up to the collision,  to contact police.
"In particular,  officers are keen to trace a white Vauxhall Mokka which stopped at a pedestrian crossing just in front of where the collision occurred.  This car was not involved in the collision but the occupants may have seen what happened."

  Malden Road and Queens Crescent were closed while emergency services carried out their work but all are now reopened officers from the Mets serious Collision Investigation Unit are conducting the investigation.
